The best way to travel to the Faroe Islands from North America is to fly on Icelandair to Iceland and then on Atlantic Airways and/or Air Iceland to and from the Faroe Islands. In most cases the trips from North America to the Faroe Islands can be accomplished in one day. Typically during peak season (June-August), there are 3 flights weekly between the Faroe Islands and Iceland. FST can develop a flight itinerary to optimize your time in the Faroe Islands. Atlantic Airways is the national carrier of the Faroe Islands. Established in 1987, it flies to Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Scotland and London. The airline operates two BAE 146-200, high-winged, four-engine jet aircraft. The seating throughout the aircraft is designed for comfort, featuring wide, leather-covered seats. The service is impeccable and always friendly. You can even make duty-free purchases in flight. From Iceland, the trip is only a swift one-hour journey.
